Hi everyone, I’m a high school student in our city helping organize a student-led AI and machine learning education initiative through a non-profit called Alpine Reasoning Challenge . We’re currently developing workshops for students already familiar with programming but just beginning to learn about machine learning or AI. One challenge we’ve run into is access to computing hardware for educational deep learning projects. We’re mainly looking for older but still capable NVIDIA GPUs (~8-16 GB VRAM) or retired desktop/workstation systems that can still handle things like PyTorch training, computer vision projects, introductory transformer experiments, etc. I was wondering if anyone knows good places in Calgary to find retired or surplus hardware like this that companies might be replacing or recycling. Even a few older-generation GPUs would be incredibly useful for our workshops. If anyone has recommendations for local organizations, recyclers, businesses, or programs that might be worth reaching out to, I’d really appreciate it. Thanks!
